As Senior Vice President of Brokerage & Development of Loeb Properties, Inc., Matt Prince is responsible for all acquisitions, dispositions and developments, marketing strategies and efforts, and new leases. Loeb Properties is a commercial real estate investment, development, management, and brokerage company in Memphis, TN, with a portfolio of over 100 retail, office, and multi-tenant properties and developments.
Since joining Loeb in 2002, Matt has focused on elevating New Urbanism in Memphis and supporting healthy choices in restaurants and groceries. He was instrumental in bringing the first Whole Foods grocery store to Memphis and worked as a key facilitator in multiple large-scale successful restaurant agreements.
Matt’s involvement in the renovation of Overton Square helped to create a revitalized restaurant, retail, entertainment, and arts district in the center of Memphis. Local restaurants and retailers comprise 60% of the Overton Square development. The area sources ingredients from local gardens, including GrowMemphis, and food markets in the community.
Matt holds a political science degree from Loyola University in Chicago and is a licensed Affiliate Real Estate Broker in Tennessee & Mississippi. He serves on the board of the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy and as Vice President of the University Neighborhood Development Corporation (UNDC), which focuses on improving the physical and economic neighborhood infrastructure surrounding the University of Memphis. Matt is a board member of River City Capital Investment, an affiliate of Community LIFT.
